Maple has had an exciting week of learning, which they summarised wonderfully in their Sharing Assembly on Friday. They have been working very hard in maths to continue to understand fractions. This week they focused on equivalent fractions and whole numbers with fractions. they can order fractions on a number line and compare fractions using bar models. In English, they have started work using the text The Egyptian Cinderella by Shirley Climo. They compared the text to the traditional Cinderella tale and have worked on using comparative conjunctions. They have continued to work hard in History and have shown great enthusiasm for their topic. On Friday afternoon they had a workshop, run by North Herts Museum, all about the mummification process. They enjoyed handling real artefacts from Ancient Egypt and role-playing through the 'life after death' process.
