This week Maple have been working hard, which has been a challenge with the warm weather! They have produced wonderful shape poems inspired by the book, Apes to Zebras. These are now on display in the hall for everyone to read. They investigated how to produce calligrams and explored how shape poems represent the subject. In Maths, they have been looking at money. They have been doing addition and subtraction with money and are using their knowledge of place value to support their understanding. In P.E. they have been improving their underarm throws and sprinting skills. In Geography, they have used non-fiction text to find information about the river Nile. They also joined up with KS1 to listen to Miss Thorpe's talk about marine biology and coral habitats - which supports their Science learning this term about animals and habitats.
