Homework expectation for Maple class 23-24:

Reading for 10 minutes a day

Times table practice 5 minutes a day

No more than 30 minutes of Mathletics per week

30 minutes a week on a selected homework task

Reading:

It is expected that every child is reading for at least 10 minutes daily at home. They should be reading independently and practising reading out loud to an adult. Books should be appropriate for their age and reading level. All children can check out books from the school library to take home to read.

Times tables:

For 5 minutes a day, every child must revise their times tables. They can do this in whichever way works for them; verbal recall, online games, note-taking, completing worksheets/booklets etc. All children are signed up to TimesTable Rockstars and can use their logins to use this platform from home. 

Mathletics:

Please check Mathletics for weekly set challenges (these will be set on a Friday AM and are due by the following Thursday PM). All pupils should have their usernames and passwords - if these are misplaced they must ask for a new reminder slip asap.

Homework tasks

Our topic in Geography this half term is - Climate Zones. Please read around the subject to improve general knowledge - interesting topic facts are always welcome during our lessons. 

In addition to reading, please use the homework grid to complete weekly activities linked to our main topic - 5 activities need completing over the half term. It is expected that you hand in one task every Friday. Digital copies of homework can be submitted by emailing the school with the email subject:
