Love, Learn, Aspire
"Let all that you do be done in love." 1 Corinthians 16:14
This week Maple has kickstarted the half term with lots of exciting lessons and activities. In our Science lesson we were introduced to our new Science topic through a crime scene investigation. We identified the remains of a murder victim and hypothesised the murder suspect! We explored outside and recapped our prior knowledge about the different parts and functions of the parts of a plant. In English, we finished writing our balanced arguments and have begun to read How To Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. We will be looking at plot progression and character interaction in the book to inspire our English work. In Maths, we have started looking at measurements, specifically length. We measured things in the classroom, including ourselves! We have been converting mm - cm - m. We have started our new P.E. sports; Netball and Hockey. We revised our chest pass skills in our Netball lesson and refined our dribbling skills in Hockey. Miss Thorpe has brought in her high-resolution scientific microscope for us to use in our lessons. One lunchtime some of us spent our time looking at slides with animal, plant and fungi samples. We also looked our some cats fur, some classroom dust and our own hair (plus even a broken finger nail!!).
