The children are loving our new topic on space. We have use non-fiction books to learn about the planets and we have acted out the story ‘Whatever Next.’ Using the role play the children have acted out their own trips to space and are using new space vocabulary. In Maths, we have measured ourselves and have put objects in order of shortest to longest. In music we listened to the Planet Suite by Holst and made our own music to accompany it. We carefully observed and painted daffodils for Saint David’s Day and have started making rockets from junk modelling.
