Homework

SNOW DAY work:

Please complete these five tasks:

1. Go out and play in the snow and have fun! (If you haven't done so already!)

2. When you are back inside and warm, collect vocabulary (words and phrases) to describe the snow, using the FANTASTICs (Feeling, action, notice/sights, touch, asking/dialogue, smells, taste, inner thoughts and checking/sound).

3. Write a poem about the snow to share when we are back in school tomorrow. Use adjectives, verbs and adverbs and use the BOOMTASTICs to really 'dress up' your writing! (Alliteration, onomatopoeia, similes, metaphors, personification, rhyme, repetition).
You can write any style of poem you like - free verse will probably be best for this task. Your poem DOES NOT have to rhyme but can if you would like it to.

4. Get cosy, snuggle up and read, read, read!!!
Think of a character in the book you are reading and design a Christmas stocking for them. What would their stocking look like? What gifts would be inside the stocking? Draw a picture of your stocking and write who it is for.

5. Maths - Please complete your Maths tasks on Mathletics.

Have a great day!

Select the most useful and interesting information from your research and interviews and write a bank of quotes and/or reported speech to use in your report.
