Homework
Each week children will receive homework. Sometimes this will be Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation based and normally be presented on a worksheet handed out on a Friday. Other weeks this will be task on Mathletics - https://sign-in.mathletics.com/ Please check regular to ensure all set tasks have been completed.
Each week there will be spellings to learn. This year we will not be testing the children however, we will expected children to apply the spellings in their handwriting sessions and when possible, within lessons across the week.
Children should be supported to identify the meaning of unfamiliar words and use them within context.
To achieve the 'Expected Standard' children should be able to spell all words from the Year 3 and 4 correctly and 'most' of the Year 5 and 6. Both lists can be found below.
