We have now started our seaside topic by reading Who Swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts. We have been looking at and drawing different sea creatures and retelling the story, as well as focusing on recycling. We released our butterflies out into the school grounds which the children enjoyed. In maths we are learning to use Rekenreks to help with our subitising. We have also drawn around each other to name body parts. In continuous provision the children made up sea songs using the instruments and played with water and sand.
