  Well done and congratulations to our Golden Award recipients this week, it was a delight to hear all of the reasons that teachers have chosen the children and lovely to be able to spend time with them at our golden tea-party this afternoon.

  We were also very proud to be able to present silver and gold star badges for golden tickets.

  Congratulations to our Golden award recipients this week, who have demonstrated their use of our learning powers and been selected by their class teachers.  We also say congratulations to the children presented with their silver and gold star badges for completing golden ticket cards - well done to you all.

  Congratulations to the children who received Golden Awards today.  It was a pleasure to hear why your teachers had selected you - whether based on your learning or for demonstrating our values.

  We were also delighted to be able to present Golden ticket Star Badges, gold for Francesca, Holly and Toby and our first red star badge to Lexie.  Congratulations and well done to all of our achievers.

  

• Science Celebration

  With National Science week this week, instead of Golden Assembly we took the opportunity to celebrate the science that we have been undertaking during the week.  We had had a particular focus on investigations and developing our scientific enquiry skills.

   It was a real pleasure to see the children sharing their learning in:

  In Reception they shared their investigations into minibeasts – who knew that minibeasts are currently in hiding - even when being tempted by sugar!

  In Class One they had been looking at plants, with a walk in Wain wood looking for signs of Spring! Followed by an investigation which turned their white flower green.

  Class Two investigated and found out that on average a person’s arm span measures the same as their height.

  Class Three were looking into the best materials to use for an astronauts gloves.  I learnt that  insulation in a space suit needs to keep your body temperature between 36°C and 39°C.

   

  We also managed to present two star badges, so congratulations and well done to the recipients of a silver and gold badge.

  Our golden assembly started loudly today with a dragon dance celebrating Chinese New Year from Reception.  It was then a pleasure to be able to present star badges for golden tickets and our Golden Awards to pupils selected by their teachers this week.  We also celebrated the success of the netball team in coming second in the Rural School Netball rally.

  On our non-uniform day for Children with Cancer UK, we say congratulations to our children who received Golden awards in assembly.  We also congratulate our two golden tickets star recipients.  We had our tea party early today to make sure that Class 3 didn't miss out on the Greek afternoon - hence the togas!

  Well done to our Golden Award and Golden Ticket Star Badge recipients today.  It was a real pleasure to be able to present a bronze and two silver star badges for golden ticket card completion.  Our Golden Award recipients had a lovely time at the tea party this afternoon.
