• Golden Assembly

  Christmas has certainly arrived at Preston this week, with Reception and Class One's nativity 'A King is Born' and our Key Stage Two Carol Service at St. Martin's Church on Wednesday evening.  We then followed this with our Christmas activity morning yesterday, so we saw some tired children in our Golden Assembly this morning!  We were delighted to be able to present Golden awards and a red star badge.  Well done to all the recipients.

  Mrs Shaves really enjoyed the chance to lead Golden Assembly this morning and present Golden Awards and star badges to the children who had completed one, three or four golden ticket cards.  Well done to you all.

  Congratulations to our Golden Award recipients today and to children who received their star badges for completing their golden ticket cards.  Great to be able to award a silver and gold start.

  We also shared the winners to our Preston Christmas Lights competition and the football team shared how they got on at the Rural Schools Football tournament on Tuesday.

  What a busy day!  We were delighted to present Golden awards and Star badges in our Golden assembly this morning, well done to our award winners and the recipients of their gold and red stars.

  This afternoon we enjoyed planting our trees from the Woodland Trust.  A big thank you to all the mums and dads who came along to support.

  

• Children in Need and Golden Assembly

  What a busy day we've had for Children in Need, but it all started on Monday morning when Pudsey bear visited us on, meeting and greeting all the children on the playground!

  Today we've enjoyed wearing mufti and we either donated money or brought in some cakes for the cake sale organised by the school council at the end of the day.

  In golden assembly it was lovely to see all the different outfits, including the recipient of our red star award in Pudsey onesy!  Congratulations and well done to our Golden Award recipients too.

  Congratulations to the children who received Golden Awards in assembly this morning and to our recipients of star awards.  We were also pleased to present book tokens to the winners of the firework pictures for the Red Lion display - well done to Melody, Isla and Oliver.

  On Friday we were delighted to present out Golden Awards to the children selected by their teachers for demonstrating our golden rules or using the learning super powers.  They were very patient in waiting until Monday morning for our Golden teaparty, but it was lovely to hear all about the children's weekends.

  We were very proud to present our Golden Awards in assembly this morning as well as a red star for golden tickets.  Some children from Class One shared their pirate diaries with us - who knew the life of a pirate could be so tricky!

  We enjoyed celebrating in Golden Assembly today with those children who had been selected by their teachers to receive Golden Awards.  We were also delighted to present a bronze star for completing the first golden ticket card.  Well done to you all.
