This week Maple have been getting coronation ready! In their Design and Technology lesson they worked hard in groups to adapt their designs of coronation commemorative benches into model benches. They used a variety of materials and used different attachment methods to secure their selected materials onto cardboard frames. The children used collaging techniques which they had been using in Art. Their artworks were influenced by Jesse Treece. The children used old National Geographic magazines (some even dated back to 1963!) to find images for their collage, they then cut out their pictures and layered then to create their final piece. In P.E., Maple has continued to work hard on their rugby skills and managed to perform well in a dodging tag-rugby mini-game.
