W/B 8th May

This is about Maple Class. In school, we have push yourself, work hard, imagine, improve, concentrate, don't give up and understand others. These are the secrets of success. As you know this week year 6 are doing SATs and we think they are doing really well. Every week Maple changes seats. Miss Thorpe's best friend is Maple the dog. We also have a book corner, which is great if you are upset or need a bit of calm time. As well as a book corner we have a worry monster called Marvin, a toy dog called Maple, 2 cats called Jessie and Jerry and two puzzle pieces called Jino and Jazz. We have been reading the Egyptian Cinderella. In maths we have been doing fractions: 1/2 1/3 1/3 1/4. And we have been doing mixed fractions. Everyone has a job in the class, we have book corner monitors, cloak room monitors, book monitors morning and afternoon, milk monitors, fruit monitors, and bathroom monitors. It was very rainy this week. 

W/B 24th April

This is Snowdrop, Layla and Tilly. In the pond there is an algae build up, daffodils, bird bath, lily-pads, pond skaters, pond snails, a bag of hay, leaves and lavender. In English, we wrote post cards as we wrote we pretended to be a meerkat called Sunny from a book called Meerkat Mail. We are also a church school. There is a lovely pond and a school field, there are stepping stones in the field. We have assembly everyday and amazing lunches. Lots of posters and an amazing children's book corner. In Pe we have been doing rugby.
