Reading in Oak Class

Please ensure your child is reading regularly at home.  We encourage the children to develop a passion for reading and should select books that they both enjoy and will challnege them. If you need any support in encouraging your child to read, please speak to Mr White.  We have regular access to the library and a well stocked class book corner.  Children are also welcome to bring in books from home. 

In addition to 'reading for pleasure' we complete reading activities in class.  For this we follow the VIPERS format.  Information on this can be found below, including use question starter to support you in reading with your child.
