Coming next week! Films galore! We will be releasing a film a day so have a look everyday - Just click our Class 2 Films star.
Stars of the week were Harry and Hendrix for their great concentration skills. Super work boys! Also we want to honour the kind and selfless parents who came in and cleaned our classrooms on several days! We are humbled that you gave up your time to serve Class 2 and the whole school. Thank you Mr Burn Murdoch and Mr and Mrs Fleckney. You are our Stars of the Week!
This week we learnt how to improve our reading skills. We found out how to summarise paragraphs, retrieve information from a text and research and describe words we don’t know. We revised word types, finding nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
We have been practising our times tables using colouring sheets, TTRockstars and bingo games. We have been practising how to use multiplication facts to answer division questions.
We have been learning all about shadows. Enough said! You will see the results next week. You must not ask for any details or it will ruin the surprise.
We have been decorating like mad and made six pointed snowflakes, salt dough decorations, a hand print Christmas tree, handwriting pattern crackers and paper chains! We feel very Christmassy!
We looked at the meaning of Christmas being the expression of God’s love for us and how Jesus was the greatest present ever. We though about God’s grace being Something we do not deserve but are given anyway. We split into groups and improvised dramas to show the meaning of Christmas. One group beautifully showed how receiving a gift that you do not deserve can a make you change to be a better person. We all had fun and learnt a lot about the importance of listening to each other and cooperating to create something.!
